Dorn Method PLUS

The Dorn Method PLUS is a simple manual way to help yourself or your clients with acute problems or long-term pain in the back and joints. It incredibly quickly corrects differences in leg length, shifted vertebrae (and thus solves herniated discs), bunions, problems with all joints, scoliosis, tailbone shifts, and related issues like infertility, etc.

Based on my experience, I must say that clients have no idea and are very surprised to find they have one leg longer than the other. They come in for back pain, shoulder pain, neck pain, migraines, flat feet, or bunions, but all of this stems from our pelvis and hips.

Difference in Leg Length

An unequal leg length causes a rotation of the pelvic bones, and our spine must react to this with a deviation. This subsequently leads to blockages, for example, in the sacroiliac joint (who hasn't heard of SI joints?), our ribs, shoulder blades, and shoulder joints get blocked, and shifted vertebrae cause herniated discs. A poorly rotated hip joint also puts downward pressure on our skeletal system. This results in "X" or "O" legs, flat feet, and bunions. The Dorn Method quickly and effectively solves these problems.

This is what I love about the Dorn Method... it teaches clients how they can help themselves!

I have always been convinced that we should take care of ourselves and that nothing comes completely on its own. If we want to be in good shape and live a meaningful life, we simply have to put in some effort. You know the saying, "Don't expect baked pigeons to fly into your mouth."

Unlike a massage, the Dorn Method requires the active participation of clients! In the spirit of the motto, "Together we will achieve the goal," it helps clients break free from the role of a victim and step into the role of the creator of their own life!

Everything is done with the client's free and natural movement and breath, along with the therapist, which makes this method completely safe.

Who is the Dorn Method suitable for?

Joint shifts occur due to habitual movement patterns, injuries, or even after childbirth. An athlete who, for example, had an injury, causes a shift in their skeletal system and then transfers this deviation fascialy further into their body during exercise or sports. This creates more and more imbalances and shifts through their workouts. ‼️The body wears out much faster‼️

In practice, this means incorrect foot placement, painful ankle injuries, and knee problems. Pain results from pelvic rotation, SI joint issues, shifted vertebrae, or shoulder pain.

Every person who wants to keep their body in shape long-term should come in for a Dorn Method treatment once every year or two.

We also take our car for an MOT... Surely, your health has more value than a car.

Furthermore, people who work on their feet or those who sit for long periods (PC work, car drivers...) cause significant shifts in their hips, pelvis, and spine due to long-term, one-sided stress.

Women after childbirth should always seek treatment!

Infertility or the inability to carry a child to term, as well as severe and painful menstruation, is often caused by the incorrect positioning of the sacrum, tailbone, and pelvis. This subsequently leads to a blockage of the sacroiliac joint and further shifts in the vertebrae, including C1, which can cause migraines.

Children and individuals whose scoliosis is not yet fixed

With children, we have a unique opportunity to prevent health complications in adulthood. Sometimes, for children, it's enough to correct the unequal leg length, and the scoliotic curvature then straightens out almost on its own.

Through the pressure of the therapist's thumb on the vertebrae, blockages in tissues and energy flow are released. This leads to the release of physical and mental blocks in clients, which are the cause of various physical ailments, such as insufficient nutrient supply or sluggish detoxification in organs, tissues, and cells.

Unequal leg length also causes different irritations of the reflex zones on the feet, so our organs receive incorrect information through nerve endings (reflexes).

It is a holistic method, the effect of which often manifests on various levels.

The Dorn Method - Pain and Safety

Before the treatment, I perform a fascial release of the lower limbs and the core. A relaxed body cooperates better, and we can work with the skeletal system much more gently. ‼️ This is much more gentle and, most importantly, safer for the client. ‼️ It is also suitable for sensitive people and children.

However, it can still happen that with severe blockages, the client might feel pain from the pressure on the soft tissues and muscles. In this case, I always respect the client's pain threshold, and we phase the correction of the sensitive area. I always approach everyone with consideration and sensitivity.

The Dorn Method is safe and gentle on the body. Everything is done with relaxed movement and gentle manipulation around the joints. Moreover, virtually anyone who is at least somewhat mobile can be treated.

JHow to Prepare for the Dorn Method

Before the massage, eat only easily digestible meals in moderation and drink plenty of fluids throughout the day.

Immediately after the treatment, follow the therapist's instructions. For a period of three days, limit physical exertion, increase your fluid intake, avoid sitting with your legs crossed, and adhere to the recommended exercises.

Please be aware that the body is fragile after the treatment ‼️ It is important to avoid strenuous physical activity and competitive sports. Of course, everyone is an individual, and it always depends on the severity of your issues. If you have any questions, please ask in advance about the best way to time the Dorn Method session, or alternatively, the treatment can be phased into multiple steps (first the hips and pelvis, then the spine at a later date).

How frequent are the treatments?

The frequency of treatments is always individual and depends on the cooperation between the client and the therapist, as well as many other factors. However, in most cases, 2-3 comprehensive treatments with a one-month interval are sufficient. After that, a check-up once every six months or once a year is recommended. The duration of a treatment is 1.5 to 2 hours.

The Dorn Method is a simple and effective way to help clients with a wide range of issues. However, their cooperation with the therapist is essential. Clients should therefore be clearly aware that they are responsible for their own health. To achieve lasting improvement, they should get to know their body better and, if necessary, change their movement habits and patterns.

I look forward to meeting you,

Dan

Dorn Method PLUS is a unique system that Ms. Zuzana Prouzová began creating in the Czech Republic. An authorized lecturer since 2003, MgA. Zuzana Prouzová brought the original Dorn Method to the Czech Republic in 2004 and was the first person to promote and teach it here. She is authorized by the international Dorn Method society, and therefore, the certificates she issues are valid worldwide. Zuzana Prouzová is a student of Mr. Dieter Dorn, and she transferred his teaching system to the Czech Republic. In practical training courses, her students, who are also assistants (experienced Dorn Method Plus therapists), provide help. This way, all new course participants receive above-standard support and care during and after the course.

With her students (Recommended Therapists), she expanded the original Dorn Method to such an extent that they founded the "Czech School of the Dorn Method PLUS." The DMP rethinks and refines the basic Dorn Method to a degree that it is now a standalone method, which she personally teaches with her students throughout the Czech Republic and Slovakia. She has lectured on new procedures and findings several times at international congresses in Germany, in hospitals for doctors and physical therapists, at Charles University, in several television and radio programs, and in many magazine articles.
